When do results arrive?

Aptis releases all results within 48-72 hours of the test, not counting weekends or public holidays. That includes Speaking and Writing — there is no separate, longer wait for the human-marked parts. The certificate is emailed within the same window.

This is one of Aptis's biggest practical advantages: Cambridge paper results can take 4-6 weeks, while Aptis turns around in days.

How scoring works

The Aptis report is detailed rather than a simple pass/fail. For each part you get:

On top of that you receive an overall CEFR level, displayed on a graph with six bands (from A0 to C). That overall level is the one you use for your requirement or application.

Who marks what

Despite the human marking, all parts are released together in the 48-72 hour window.

There is no "fail"

Aptis certifies the level you demonstrate on the day. If you aimed for C1 but performed at B2, you don't walk away empty-handed — you receive a valid B2 certificate. That takes much of the pressure off: the worst case is a lower level than you targeted, not nothing.

Aim for the level you need

Before test day, find out whether your Speaking and Writing are really at your target level. The AptisBot Telegram bot gives you AI feedback on Speaking and Writing against the official Aptis rubric, plus a question bank and mock tests — free.
